Dreams: A strongly desired or purpose
When I was in high school. I realized I wanted to turn my ideas into reality. I set off in pursuit of understanding how to protect intellectual property. For me to understand patent, trademarks, copyrights and confidentiality agreements, I did a lot of research and joined several groups to help me learn about the history, the reasons it’s important and the differences between them.
My first downfall I encountered was dealing with contracts. I started a business with a partner/lawyer/investor. The idea was moving along until the code developers impeded the development of our app. After our great efforts, we overcome adversity and continued forward with building the application. The second hiccup came along when there was a Trademark infringement by a large well-known competing company. An avalanche of events unfolded: marketing downfall, a lawsuit against the infringer, Dispute of Operating Agreement and Amendments, referring to who owns the majority interest, and many more legal areas to be resolved. This would be financially expensive, and my options became limited.
Regardless of the life path I was in, I have never been discouraged and continue to pursue my dreams. When my vehicle was passing diesel into the cooling system, I got a quote of $16,000 for the heads to be replaces. Since I can’t afford that kind of money, I researched and got several second opinions and finally a referral to a diesel mechanic specialist who charged me $1,000 to replace the O-rings that injectors sit on. My vehicle has over 415,000 miles and drives like new.
I have more examples of individuals taking advantage of the vulnerable. For instance, my divorce lawyer was supposed to be an advocate for helping dads. Again, that was another mess that ended up costing me even more money. I can’t express how important due diligence and research is before you make a decision, especially if that decision can haunt you in the long run.
Situations like the ones above will shed light as to why I am committed to my brands. The lessons I learned have been about a little guy trying to reach the top with gravity trying to pull you down. It has taught me to be resilient, a fighter and to build a path to express myself on what I believe in. A lot has change over the course of my career. One thing that has remained the same is my passion on having by dream come true. I wish for your strong desire and purpose called a dream to be followed and do what you believe in until it becomes a reality.Beware of Shysters LLC was Established 2013
